# Prerequisites

* You need a motherboard that supports UEFI; please refer to your motherboard model's manual to verify this. Most modern motherboards support UEFI.
* You need a UEFI installation of Windows, and your operating system must be up-to-date. We support the latest versions of both Windows 10 and 11. Legacy Windows installations are not supported. You can verify if you have UEFI BIOS mode by opening msinfo32.exe.
* If you are using legacy BIOS mode, you can convert your installation using the tutorial provided [<mark style="color:purple;">here</mark>](https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/convert-an-existing-windows-10-installation-from/aa8c2de3-460b-4a8c-b30b-641405f800d7).
* Please uninstall any third-party antivirus products from your computer, as some antiviruses might interfere with the injection process. Windows Defender real-time protection also needs to be disabled.
* Additionally, some overlays might interfere with our products. If you use any overlays, try disabling them.
